We are committed to our Members, our Alliance partners, and the local communities we serve, and we are honoured to support them in a variety of ways. We have donated over $250,000 to local charities, community events and Industry events each year which enable us to give back to our Members and organisations that make our communities strong and vibrant.

Alliance Partners

We are proud to have strong alliance partnerships with unions for workers, including the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) and Mining & Energy Union (MEU). We recognize the important roles that unions play in advocating for workers' rights and improving working conditions, and we are honored to support their efforts. Through our partnerships, we offer a range of financial services and products designed specifically for the union members.

Maritime Union of Australia (MUA)

We are a proud supporter of Maritime Union of Australia (MUA). MUA is a a division of the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union, fighting for workers rights across industries including diving, ferries, offshore oil and gas, port services, shipping, and stevedoring since 1872.

Victorian Trades Hall Council (VTHC)

We are a proud supporter of the Victorian Trades Hall Council. The Victorian Trades Hall Council functions as an organising body, bringing together 41 affiliated unions and representing over 500,000 union members.

Reliance Bank is a proud supporter of the AMIEU Australian Meat Industry Employees Union. They protect the rights of workers across all areas of meat and related sectors.

Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU)

Reliance Bank is a proud supporter of the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union. They fight for a fair deal for Australian workers, they represent tens of thousands of workers in all areas of manufacturing including; food and confectionary; metal and engineering; printing, design and packaging; technical, laboratory, supervisory and administrative; and vehicle building, service and repair.

Working Waves

Reliance Bank has sponsored the annual MUA Working Waves event for over 20 years. This surfing competition is held over a single day at Norah Head, a surf beach on the Central Coast of NSW and is organised through the MUA Newcastle Branch. It is always enthusiastically supported by members and sponsors, with some competitors travelling from interstate. The MUA retired members have the “Barbie” going all day and it is a great event for MUA members, family, and friends. Click here to see the video of 2023 MUA Working Waves event.

May Day events

Carols by Candlelight - Bathurst

We are the major sponsor of the Mitchell Conservatorium’s annual Carols by Candlelight event. Known as the Reliance Bank Carols by Candelight this free event is held mid-December. Trundle Bush Tucker Day

Reliance Bank is a proud sponsor of the Trundle Bush Tucker Day. It is a beloved Australian festival for the whole family to enjoy, featuring the National Bush Cook Championship, cooking competitions, entertaining cooking demonstrations, shearing demonstrations, bush tucker cuisine sampling, various rides and activities for the kids, and live entertainment. Avondale Community Carols

As a major sponsor, we proudly support the Avondale Community Carols in Cooranbong, NSW. The Christmas Carols are an incredibly special event for the Cooranbong community. Every year, the event has an enjoyable array of entertainment for people of all ages: performances by various singers and bands, appearances by Santa Claus, exciting activities like Jumping castles and carnival rides, and a variety of food trucks to satisfy your cravings. Westies Joggers Festival of the Feet

We are a proud supporter of the Western Districts Joggers and Harriers, a running club at Lake Gillawarna in Georges Hall in Sydney, meeting every Saturday morning. Each year they host the Festival of the Feet, where people can participate in 21.1km, 14km, 7km or 3km. All ages and abilities are welcome to enter.
