Do I have to be a member to take out a Visa Credit Card?
Yes, you must be a member to have a Visa Card. Learn more about membership.

What are the minimum and maximum limits?
The minimum limit is $1,000 and the maximum $30,000, however the maximum limit will be subject by your ability to repay.

How can cash be obtained from a credit card?
Cash can be withdrawn from the credit card in three ways.  A withdrawal from any ATM that has a Visa logo, over the counter at one of our branches, a cash advance at a bank.

How can payments be made to the card?
You can arrange to make your card repayments either by payroll deduction, direct debit from your savings or transaction account, Internet or telephone banking transfer, at any one of our branches, using bank@post or at any branch of the National Australia Bank with a specially encoded deposit book.

What fees and charges apply to the card?
Credit transactions are free but any cash advances or withdrawals will be included in your monthly transaction limit.  There is an annual fee which is waived in the first year.  For any member with an All In One Home loan, no annual fee will apply.  View our fees and charges

Can other accounts be accessed through the card?
Yes.  Should your S1 transaction account be linked to your credit card, this can be accessed by selecting the savings option at the ATM.  Speak to one of our staff to arrange the account to be linked should you wish to access this option.

How is a balance transfer from another card completed?
A balance transfer will be completed by transferring the funds directly to the other financial institution to payout the outstanding balance of the other credit card.  Download this form.

How can I increase my credit limit?

How can I cancel or reduce my credit limit?
You can cancel or reduce your limit by filling out this form.

How does the 55 days interest free work?
Interest-free days begin on the first day of your statement period and end on the payment due date (This is why we say "up to 55 days"). To be eligible to receive interest-free days, you must repay your account's outstanding balance in full by the due date.

Can I assign an additional cardholder?
Credit cards can only be issued on single accounts, however additional cards can be issued to any person you choose.  This person does not have to be a member but they must be added as a signatory to your account and must satisfy the identification criteria.  Download this form

What happens if my card is lost or stolen?
Contact our staff immediately.

How often will I receive information on my account?
A statement, which details your account balance, available credit, transactions and payment due, will be issued monthly. In addition, all your account details are available at your fingertips by logging on to Internet Banking. 

What security is required?
No security is required to take out a Visa Credit Card.
